This special livery commemorates a legendary exhibition race that took place on November 21, 1981, at Italy's Istrana Air Base. Ferrari driver Gilles Villeneuve, in a Ferrari 126 CK Formula 1 car, faced off against an Italian Air Force F-104S Starfighter in a standing-start acceleration duel. With clever preparation from the Ferrari team and restrictions on the jet (It could not lift off or use its afterburner), Villeneuve and the F1 car emerged victorious.

In September 1989, to honor this event, the Italian Air Force gifted a retired F-104G to Ferrari, painted in its iconic Rosso Corsa livery. Its markings "4-27" stand for the 4th Wing (4° Stormo) of the Italian Air Force, which uses the Prancing Horse as its emblem, and "27", the racing number of Gilles Villeneuve. The real aircraft is on static display at Ferrari's private Fiorano Circuit test track.

Now, you can bring the iconic Ferrari (or Assoluto) racing spirit to Strangereal! Even if it's a little creatively altered for the F-104C!

The pack also includes Lore Friendly Variants based on the "Assoluto Motor Corporation" from the Ridge Racer Series! (Another Bandai Namco Series) If you are unaware, Ridge Racer has ties to Strangereal through in-game billboards and other references in each of their games. Due to this, The choices were assigned to the Erusean Air Force, a nation in Strangereal with the most Italian inspirations. And Assoluto being the Ridge Racer equivalent to Ferrari.
