Description

nullframe lightweight precision placement and grid snapping mod for Abiotic Factor. Line up furniture, storage, machines and cable reroutes with consistent spacing and fewer manual adjustments. Snap to a grid, rotate in predictable steps, use a wall or nearby object as an alignment reference, and make small adjustments with precise nudging. nullframe adjusts placement calculations while leaving construction, inventory, connections and placement authority to the game. It does not include placement-rule bypasses.

Controls

These are the default bindings. Change them under Settings → Input Bindings → nullframe. No console commands or config editing are needed to rebind controls.

F8 cycles through grid size, rotation angle, nudge axes, nudge step and alignment space. Cable reroutes automatically skip rotation and normal-offset adjustments.

Defaults are a 25 cm grid and 15° rotation snapping. Continue using the game’s normal rotate and place controls.

Installation

Requires UE4SS for Abiotic Factor. No other mods are required.

Configuration and updates

Change settings and bindings in nullframe/Config/config.lua while the game is closed.

To update, replace the existing mod files. Back up your config first if you have customized it.

To uninstall, close the game and remove ue4ss/Mods/nullframe/. There is no custom nullframe save data to remove.

Compatibility

Disable other mods that change placement, grid snapping or rotation to avoid conflicting adjustments.

nullframe uses the game’s normal placement pathway. Live multiplayer verification and cable-reroute validation are still in progress.
