Grid Snapping Enhanced

Description

Grid Snapping Enhanced is based on the mod Grid Snap Enabler by Lua. Apart from changing how grid snapping is enabled, it also provides hotkeys to adjust the snapping distance.

• []NUMPAD 0: Enable/Disable grid snapping

  []NUMPAD 9: Increase snapping distance

  []NUMPAD 3: Decrease snapping distance

  Installation

  • []Requires UE4SS

    []Place the extracted folder in:

    \AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods

    []The folder hierarchy should look like this:

    \AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\GridSnappingEnhanced\Scripts

    Known Issues

    • []Starting a new game with this mod enabled breaks the Split-Stack functionality and the Research Minigame.

      Current Workaround: Restart the game client after creating a new game. I didn't encounter any further issues on a 40h playthrough.

      Configuration

      The default snapping distance of the game is 50. Currently, 50 is the maximum snapping distance and 5 is the minimum snapping distance. Increasing/decreasing adjusts the distance by 5.

      To adjust these settings to your liking, open:

      \AbioticFactor\AbioticFactor\Binaries\Win64\ue4ss\Mods\GridSnappingEnhanced\Scripts\main.lua

      You can change the following settings:

      • []local DELTA = 5 -- Snapping increment step size

        []local MIN = 5

        []local MAX = 50

        To change the keybinds:

        • []local ToggleKey = Key. NUM_ZERO

          []local IncrementKey = Key. NUM_NINE

        • local DecrementKey = Key. NUM_THREE

          Don't forget to save the file and restart your game.
