📋 About This Mod

Nearby Crafting

What it does

Craft, repair, and upgrade using the resources in your nearby storage containers and vehicles, without hauling everything into your backpack first. Open a workstation or the crafting menu and any item in a container within range counts toward your recipes, just like it was in your own inventory.

  • []Crafting pulls ingredients straight from nearby chests, vehicles, drone, lockers, and storage boxes.[/]

[]Repair and upgrade blocks using materials from nearby storage.[/]

[]Refueling and trading draw from nearby containers too.[/]

[]Vehicle storage (your own vehicles) is included.[/]

[]Configurable range so "nearby" means whatever you want.[/]

Configuration

A plain config.xml is created in the mod's own folder (Mods/NearbyCrafting/config.xml) on first launch. Edit it and restart. Options:

  • []range - scan radius in blocks (default 10). Set to -1 to use the game's default craft-area range.[/]

[]allowAllContainers - also pull from non-player loot containers, not just your own storage.[/]

[]allowLockedContainers - include containers that are locked to you.[/]

[]enableFromVehicles - include your vehicles' storage.[/]

    []enableFromDrone - include your drone's storeage.[/]

    []enableForRepairAndUpgrade, enableForTrader, enableForRefuel[/]

    []modEnabled - master on/off switch.[/]

Installation

  • []Extract into your 7 Days To Die/Mods folder so you have Mods/NearbyCrafting/ModInfo.xml.[/]

    []EAC must be OFF [/]

[]Multiplayer: install it on the server and on every client (with EAC off), then restart the server.[/]

[]Make sure TFP_Harmony is in the MODs folder.[/]

Known limitations on v3. 0

  • []Weapon reloading does not currently pull ammo from containers (the game's reload code changed in v3. 0). Everything else works.[/]
