Ghost Ops 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX Pack
A major overhaul of my original Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX pack, now updated for 7 Days to Die V3. 2 with substantially revised vehicle systems, audio behavior, crafting progression, customization, and general configuration.
The pack includes three distinct versions of the 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX:
-
[]2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX – Base Model[/]
[]2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX – Voltex Widebody[/]
[]2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX – APR / Tokyo Drift Inspired[/]
Updated Visuals
The Base Evo IX and Voltex Widebody have both received heavily revised texture profiles using a full physically based rendering texture workflow. Materials, reflections, surface detail, and overall visual quality have been significantly improved to give both vehicles a much more polished and realistic appearance in-game.
Speed-Aware 4G63 Engine Audio
Version 2. 0 introduces a completely redesigned engine-audio system built specifically for these Evo IXs.
The system responds dynamically to vehicle speed and engine RPM, allowing for much smoother and more natural transitions through acceleration, shifting, cruising, deceleration, and throttle changes.
Features include:
-
[]Custom 4G63 engine audio sourced from real Mitsubishi Evolutions[/]
[]Four speed-aware driving ranges[/]
[]RPM-responsive engine behavior[/]
[]Smoother acceleration and deceleration transitions[/]
[]Custom shift and blow-off valve behavior[/]
[]Dedicated idle and high-RPM audio[/]
[]Two-step audio behavior[/]
Brake-Rev System
All three Evo IX variants support brake-revving.
While holding the brake, throttle input can raise engine RPM independently, including support for analog throttle input rather than simply functioning as an on/off rev limiter.
The vehicle also reacts physically while brake-revving with a subtle suspension load effect that increases with RPM.
RPM-Reactive Exhaust
Exhaust particle effects dynamically respond to increases and decreases in engine RPM.
Evo IX Rim Customization
The Base Evo IX and Voltex Widebody now support interchangeable cosmetic rim finishes:
-
[]Black[/]
[]Gold[/]
[]Gunmetal[/]
[]Nardo Grey[/]
[]White[/]
The APR intentionally retains its dedicated wheel setup and does not use this system.
Unlocking Rim Colors
The five rim colors are unlocked by finding and reading the Evo IX Rim Color Schematic, which can be found through normal vehicle-mod schematic loot.
Each rim mod can then be crafted at a Workbench for:
-
[]1,000 Paint[/]
[]100 Scrap Polymers[/]
Crafting and Progression
The Evo IXs follow the normal vehicle crafting progression.
The custom chassis and accessory components unlock at:
Vehicle Crafting Level 70
This places them at the same progression point as the vanilla 4x4.
Each vehicle uses its own appropriate chassis and component package before being assembled into the finished vehicle at a Workbench.
The Base Evo IX and Voltex share the standard 4G63 Components, while the APR uses its own dedicated APR 4G63 Motor & Accessory Kit.
V3. 2 Compatibility
Version 2. 0 has been updated and audited for the current V3.x vehicle configuration, including updated crafting progression, vehicle recipe linking, localization, trader-gate honking support, and other configuration changes required for proper V3. 2 behavior.
Feedback
This was my first publicly released vehicle mod, and Version 2. 0 represents a substantial amount of additional work and experimentation since the original release.
Constructive feedback, bug reports, and suggestions are always appreciated.
Thank you for downloading and supporting my work. I hope you enjoy the updated Evo IXs!
